This is a great idea for an old military bag.
I call this one my "flea market" bag.
It's got lots of pockets for everything I'd need when spending a day at the flea market.
I added fabric, and various found objects to dress it up.

I saw this great purse at the flea market. It's made from cowboy boots.

I was able to lengthen these jeans as well as add some interest to them
by adding Vintage or Scrap fabric. I've embellished the one on the left with
a covered button and the ones on the right with old escutcheon plates.

Various Found Objects make up these unique necklaces

Broken china pieces, are made into pendants by soldering around the edges.
Below are 2 tea cup handles, soldered together to make a great heart pendant.
