I Collect Fiestaware, Colorware And Baskets
Who knows what drives us to collect something, But I definitely have the collecting bug. Among my collections are Baskets, Dishes etc.
This page is mostly Dishes, If you look close you'll see some Baskets in there too.
For those of you who do not know what Colorware is, They are dishes with one color inside and out.
One of the most common names in colorware is Fiestaware, but I collect all kinds of colorware, as well as Fiesta. I also collect split wood baskets, Longaberger basket company makes most of my new baskets. They also make a line of colorware, So I've been adding to my dishes collection with their products too.
Here is My hutch, the display changes often with the seasons.
On the left is a Fall Display and on the Right is a Christmas Display
This display shows some of my Mini Creamers Collection. You can see some on the Hutch and in the little cabinet to the left of the hutch. On the window wall are the rarest of my collection. These are the 4 seasons plates made my Homer Laughlin during the 1939 World's fair. There is one plate for each season and I have managed to get all 4, thanks to Ebay.

I'm not exactly a "Fiesta Purist", I also have a few Oneida Petals pieces, Longaberger, and others, All which go well with the Fiesta Ware.
